Grid+ Selects SmartGridCIS for Billing and Customer Communications in Texas
Leading the charge to bring blockchain, AI to Texas Energy Consumers
Atlanta, August 1, 2018 – SmartGridCIS, a leading provider of utility billing and CIS solutions for both regulated and deregulated energy providers, recently signed with GridPlus Texas Inc. (Grid+), a Texas-based retail energy provider (REP), to help introduce an innovative new approach to procuring and managing energy.
Grid+ will leverage blockchain technology to automate payments and facilitate a more accurate and efficient retail energy system. This technology will also pave the way for the use of artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies to offer consumers greater control over their electricity costs through an in-home “smart agent” device. The smart agent will perform multiple functions within the home, as desired by the customer, to make smart decisions customized around their comfort and budgets.
