John Bastian

John is SmartGridCIS' President. He drives business development including direct sales, marketing and channel partnership development. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry, specializing in retail market operations, wholesale trading and risk management. John's utility experience includes Florida Power & Light Company, Oglethorpe Power Corporation, Atlanta Gas Light Company, and SCANA Energy. Prior to joining the SmartGridCIS team John was involved in enterprise energy software, serving as Director of Sales for Ventyx, now part of ABB and Director of Sales for Triple Point Technology. John holds a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from Georgia State University.
